You asked for La Garenne Senior School, and we listened!

Responding to continuous requests from our students and their parents, we are proud to announce the launch of La Garenne Senior School!

We will welcome our first Year 10 class to the existing campus in September 2019. As our facilities develop, we plan to launch a new class each year, ultimately opening Year 13 in 2022 - just in time to celebrate the 75th anniversary of La Garenne.

As of September 2020 our seniors will get a new home in the newly renovated building of Senior Campus Le Roc located in Villars. Le Roc will share the same values of openness, responsibility, and respeсt as La Garenne Junior School. The new location will allow us to create a cutting edge education facility to nurture talents of each student, meeting their individual needs. Le Roc students will be following the core IGCSE course of studies within an exciting co-curricular program.

Applications for Year 10 officially open on October 22nd 2018, with priority going to our present students.

These students will begin a two-year programme culminating in the IGCSE examinations in June 2020.

The Academic Senior Programmes at La Garenne International School

Enabling each individual student to achieve academic success and develop a passion for life-long learning and discovery are key objectives of La Garenne.

The boarding environment ensures the stability and structure necessary for each child to thrive and develop socially within a warm and caring family environment.

Parallel to this, the academic life of the school provides each individual student with stimulating and challenging programmes of study.

The small class sizes favour a personalised approach to teaching, based on inquiry and investigative learning.

Term 3
Global Citizenship & Service Learning

During the first part of this term, the students will visit Normandy looking at the fascinating ancient and modern history of this region. They will be also involved studying the physical geography of the coastline.

Towards the end of the year school the students will travel to Iceland to study the unique culture and geography of this island and take part in a variety of outdoor activities or Bhutan, where the students will be involved with local people on various environmental projects.

During regular class time, the school week will be divided up between normal teaching days and “collapsed curriculum” days when students will work on concepts rather than subjects. This will provide them with the opportunity to make the links between different subject areas and learn beyond the confines of the classroom.
