Our varied extra curricular programme complements academic life for both boarders and day students. In our small school, children learn to share, be kind to others, and take on responsibility. Opportunities to participate in Swiss culture are many, through outings in the locality and beyond.  The experience of being part of a French/English bilingual community gives children the confidence to practice their languages elsewhere.

Global citizenship is further encouraged by school trips led by our experienced staff from around the world.  These trips are planned to complement and reinforce the academic programme and typically include:

October 2018 - MSC Fantasia

Optional Trip

In October 2018

From Sunday 21st to Sunday 28th October 2018

Year 5 to Year 9

  • The students from Year 5 to Year 9 will have the great opportunity to discover the "Western Mediterranean" experiencing a cruise on the largest cruise ship ever constructed, the "MSC Fantasia“.

MSC Fantasia is not only a voyage of pleasure, but one of discovery. For the very first time on a ship, guests will walk on Swarovski crystal stairs. A transparent ceiling allows passengers to experience all the magic of sailing as they gaze at the starlit skies. With 27,000 m2 of public space, including the luxury MSC AUREA SPA, 5 restaurants, 4 swimming pools, 12 hydro-massage pools, coffee bars, shops, a children’s area, a Formula 1 simulator and an interactive 4-D cinema, you can truly rediscover yourself as you relax into your holiday.

This trip will take place during the October mid-Term break: From Sunday 21st to Sunday 28th October 2018.
We have limited places and should you be interested, please click here to register. The price of the trip is CHF 2’700.

April 2018

We are very pleased to confirm the school trips, which will take place during the third term of the academic year. The last two years being a real success, we have decided to plan the same destinations for each year group. We hope that you are as excited as the children will be about the fantastic opportunity they will have next April. Such an experience will contribute to a truly holistic education going beyond the confines of the traditional classroom.

  • Year 9 students will travel to Northern France & Southern Belgium for the "Great War (1914-1918) Centenary”.
  • Year 8 class will experience the very popular school trip to the USA "The NASA educational tour" in Orlando, Florida, enjoying the best of the Kennedy Space Center and a variety of theme parks.
  • Year 7 students will fly to Lisbon and on to the breathtaking Azores archipelago of islands in Portugal - a fabulous opportunity to view Atlantic sea species and geological phenomena.
  • Year 6 students will travel to a "Latin" destination, enjoying an incredible journey to mythical Venice and Verona in Italy.
  • Year 5 will explore the German-speaking part of Switzerland. This region offers exciting attractions such as Mont Pilatus, the famous Lucerne Transport Museum, the fascinating Swiss Science Centre « Technorama » in Winterthur and much more.

Expeditions and sports events present challenges through which children discover their strengths outside the classroom. After-school clubs and private tuition options allow children to try something new as well as focus on their personal interests.  It is our belief that this holistic education leads to the personal development of each child.
