This evening,the students in MYP 1-MYP4 will participate in a lecture about astronomy from a local lecturer, Alba Eugenio-Fiore. We hope that the evening will be enjoyable and that the weather allows us to go outside for the second part of the lecture!

The children have all started their new clubs and activities for the term. They are enjoying the multitude of activities on offer and especially the popular clubs such as skiing, mountain biking, football and not to forget cooking! This term we have started a few new clubs and in particular our charity club. The students will be raising money this term in order to offer Christmas presents locally to children who may be spending Christmas alone.

With the start to the new school year well under way, we are happy to see that the students are enjoying their first few weeks at school. This year we welcome the first MYP4 class to La Garenne and we are happy to see that they are enjoying their time here. There are many activities, visits, classes and extracurricular choices keeping everyone very busy!

All the students have now returned from their school trips and they had a fantastic time. They were lucky to have good weather and they said they enjoyed themselves throughout the week. The trips as far away as the USA, Costa Rica or Portugal, were a great learning experience for the students and they were able to meet local people, try the local cuisine and enjoy the activities such as swimming, cycling, zip lining over aligators and canyoning, not to mention their shopping! Overall, a great experience for all the students and staff.

This week we are happy to see that the sun has returned to the school! It has been a very cold month of May and we still have some snow. This week the warmer weather has returned and the students are able to spend time playing outside. It is also our live fire drill practice so the warmer weather is very helpful!
